We are in the process of building a state-of-the-art building in Jerusalem that will provide safe, comfortable and fully furnished housing for 100 lone soldiers during and after their service. Our goal is to create a warm home for them and a safe place that will give them the sense of security they need.

Support After Service

Recognizing the importance of the smooth transition to civilian life, we offer additional services to discharged lone soldiers, such as apartments, offices, and more, to help them establish themselves and continue to thrive after service.

Financial Support

We provide financial support to help cover the cost of essential items such as food, clothing and transportation, as well as educational and professional training to help our soldiers build a successful career after their service.

Emotional Support

Our highly trained staff of professionals and volunteers offer support and emotional guidance, helping lone soldiers cope with the challenges of military life and feel a sense of community and belonging.

Community & Activations

As part of our services, we organize programming and events for our soldiers, provide them with opportunities to connect with their peers, and discover various heritage and cultural centers in Israeli society.

We work closely with the IDF and government to ensure that the needs and concerns of our lone soldiers are heard and addressed.

BaLev, the home for lone soldiers, was established in 2018 with the aim of providing a home for soldiers without family in Israel or those who left their families to serve in the IDF. The organization aims to create a safe, loving and supportive environment for these soldiers during and after their service, and to ensure that no soldier feels alone.

The dedicated staff and volunteers of BaLev act as guardian angels, working day and night to offer emotional, economic and logistical support to the soldiers. They are committed to making a real difference in the lives of individual soldiers by helping them navigate the challenges they face during their service, as well as providing them with the resources and guidance they need to build a bright future after the military.

Since its establishment, the BaLev family has expanded significantly with a network soldiers, enabling the organization to reach a large variety of lone soldiers. The team’s unwavering commitment to the soldiers is reflected in their ongoing efforts to ensure that they have everything they need to succeed in service and life.
